A lot has changed in the communication technology in the last one decade. What used to be a stationery communication technology and for which you have to be rooted at your office or home, now has gone mobile. What used to be a preserve of upper elite people has now become the tool used by the lowest of the social strata person. What used to be an exclusive communication tool has now become a common one used by all.
But, how did mobile become such an all pervasive technology? To my mind, this was possible because of the enabler called the ‘pre paid card’. With the advent of the pre paid cards, suddenly, the game has changed. I don’t need to worry about my bill anymore. I know exactly how much time I spent calling and how much time is left on the card. I know exactly how much I need to spend. This control on the spends is what differentiates the Prepaid Phone Cards from the post paid ones.
Today you have Phone Cards for every country. You can call any country from the US. There are branded calling cards which can be bought off the shelf which promise certain features and minutes of calling and the cheapest rates on the same.
