Roger Federer already has 13 grand slam titles to his name, but he has never been able to win the French Open tennis title so far. Nadal was the spoiler last time , but this time luck has played Federer way, which saw Nadal being sent out of the tournament even before reaching semi finals.

Roger Federer won the finals against Robin Soderling in straight sets which helped him not only to gain the French open title for the first time, it also helped him to equal Pete Samparas record of 14 grand slam titles to his name. In the next few months, Federer might overtake Pete Samparas by winning his 14th grand slam title.
