The Sri Lankan team battered the formidable West Indies team in the second semi-finals match held in England yesterday. The Sri Lankan team , batting first, scored 158 runs in the allocated 20 overs, and West Indies struggled badly in the very first over losing three wickets for just one run.
From thereon, West Indies was losing wickets at regular intervals with nobody getting into two digit score except Chris Gayle who fought the battle alone.
Now Sri Lanka will meet Pakistan in the finals match to be held tomorrow.
