For your lapel needs

The cost of reaching out to consumers is going up everyday. That is why any shrewd business person recognizes an opportunity when he sees one for reaching out to consumers, reminding them of the name of the brand or the name of the company. Such an opportunity should never be left unutilised.

Such an opportunity is presented by the lapels that people wear all the time. You need to have the right set of Lapel Pins and that is what you get when you check out PinPros. Every single Lapel Pin available at them is checked and picked up for superb quality.

Once you get the kind of Pins that you want here, it is a matter of creative energy to create the kind of looks that you want your lapels to have. You can create them with or without enamel. You can create the kind of attachments you want to have. You can also have the kind of accessories that you are comfortable with to go with this.

The effect of all this is simple. The whole thing is up there, say, when you are hosting a party. Or, for that matter, if there is a party, anywhere in town where the kind of people whom you want to reach out are going to come, and the team serving them is wearing the lapel that you have created, it becomes a very silent messenger and does its job superbly. They notice it, it is not in their face and very subtle and the effect can be dramatic.

When people notice 2 or 3 times things like this, they check it out and you end up getting the attention and the calls for the business that you have been waiting for all along. This comes at a very small cost and gets you a very focused customer set.

The Climate Talks

Politicians at the World Economic Forum in Davos have vowed to reach a “substantial” deal on climate change.

The world’s leaders will meet in Cancun, Mexico, later this year - after a disappointing conclusion to talks in Copenhagen last month.

Mexican President Felipe Calderon acknowledged that there were “low expectations” for Cancun.

But he said: “Our objective is to reach a robust, substantial and comprehensive agreement”.

He stressed that the economic costs associated with tackling climate change would be central to the challenges facing governments.

In a response that contained a number of “ifs” he said, “If we can find an economic mechanism … we will be on track.”

CEO of Vestas Wind Systems, Ditlev Engel talks about hopes for global wind energy usage

Last December’s talks in Copenhagen failed to end in a legally binding agreement by the 193 member states of the United Nations.

The Greek Tragedy waiting to happen

Mounting fears over Greece’s ability to pay off its debts have continued to hit the financial markets.

The euro has dropped to a six-month low against the dollar and Greek government debt is considered the riskiest since the euro was formed in 1999.

Greek Prime Minister George Papandreou has repeatedly denied speculation that it will have to be bailed out.

The European Union (EU) also said there was no chance of Greece defaulting or leaving the eurozone.

Greece’s public debt stands at about 300bn euros ($419bn, £259bn).

Reports have suggested that the EU would, if necessary, bail Greece out - seen as a way to calm the financial markets.

“Eurozone officials would like a way to say yes to the bond markets, without appearing to let Greece off the hook,” said Stephanie Flanders, the BBC’s economics editor.

Habit of saving

The habit of saving is a very useful habit. It helps people in their old age. It helps them whenever they get into a money crunch. But, it is not easy to get into the good habit of saving money. Lots of time just creating a savings account takes time. But, it is well worth invested.

For savings to happen correctly, the mind set should be there. One should just allocate a part of what one earns as “not mine” and “not now” and put it away. Once people start doing that, life becomes a lot simpler.

A few simple things which can help you to get into the saving habit :

One, put away one fifth of what you earn as not yours. Never touch it.

Two, open a savings bank account immediately.

Three, periodically monitor what all you spend at. Many times if you cut away and give up things that you are buying but which is not really required, it helps immensely.

Four, Look at how you can earn more. What are the skills that you can put into use which will help you to earn more.

Five, monitor how much you are saving. Looking at your savings periodically, helps you to make a resolve to save even more.

The Japanese central bank has already kept the interest rate low at record bottom level, so there is not much room for it to push the economy through monetary measures.

US zooms by 5.9% in Q4

The year 2009 started on a very bad note for the US economy due to the massive Lehman Bros collapse. The entire banking system was on the verge of collapse, and the new Obama administration took the bold and revolutionary step of providing billions of dollars of tax payer’s money for bailing out these companies.
The funding was extended unconditionally to banking majors, automobile majors and also mortgage majors. This resulted in avoiding further collapse in the US economy. But the first two quarters showed negative growth rate for the US economy, which has now recovered very well.
The Quarter four of 2009 has been the best in the recent history of US economy, with the GDP pegged at 5.9% annualized rate. How far the growth can be sustained is a billion dollar question which nobody wants to bet on now.

Participating in Trade Shows

Given the fact that the mass media has become absolutely expensive, it has become out of bounds for most people and manufacturers. Except when you are a mass marketer of packaged goods, there is no point getting onto TV.

Then, how do you reach people? That is where the Trade shows come into the picture. When you participate in trade shows, you really get the reach required.

But, there are always questions about the trade show exhibits and their durability. How can you transport them from one place to another? How do you keep them safe for the next show? What are all the things which can be used in a trade show?

These are the questions which are typically asked by most people.

Typically the following are used in the trade shows : one, the table covers. This is because, they produce good amount of visibility. Two are the table top display which are the perennial favorites of any marketer. Third are the directors chairs. This is because they are made of hardwood and they can be used as display material very easily.
