UK faces tough cuts

Chancellor George Osborne increased VAT from 17.5% to 20% and cut welfare spending as he moved “decisively” to tackle Britain’s record debts.

Child benefit and public sector pay will be frozen and 25% cut from public service spending - but alcohol, tobacco and fuel will escape tax hikes.

Unveiling his first Budget to MPs, Mr Osborne said “tough but fair” action on debt was “unavoidable”.

But Labour said it was “reckless” and would “throw people out of work”.

Why do we need forests on our earth ?

Forest is the entire Mother Nature can be seen in every form around. Forest has everything from the weakest animal to the strongest animal. Each and every animal lives in tune with Mother Nature with harmony and balance. The need of each animal is satisfied by the forest and no animal is greedy they take only what is needed. The life in the forest is plenitude were each animal embodies the forest and preserves the balance. The forest is the home of various species and seldom one finds the waste in the forest.

Mother Nature is a natural cleaner, what is useful for one species is useful for another so the clean up is done by different animals. The animals in the forest from a innocuous bug to a mighty animal stays in tune with the natural rhythms. The entire planet welfare is contributed by the forest, which maintains the whole environment. The life giving oxygen, habitat for different animal’s natural balance of water, rains is managed by the forest. We, as humans provide the most destruction to the whole planet by giving destruction to the forest.

More than 14% of the earth’s surface is known to have covered with rain forest earlier. But now we have just 6% rain forest left out and currently we are losing these pristine forest for our greed. In tribal areas, people have the responsibility to plant five plants when they cut a single tree, why this responsibility not in us. We can do if we join hands and take responsible of planting some plants during our lifetime. Ecological balance can be sustained by trees only so that we don’t leave other animals in road of extinction. We destroy trees for our needs and lead ourselves to self destruction.

Setting up your house

When you set up a house, even if you have to get the bare minimum articles, you will have a pretty big list to shop for. If you want to setup a house with moderate facilities then your lists will go bigger. If you are a bachelor, then you will get stuck up very frequently as to confused which product to choose and which one would be suitable for you. For example, if you are setting up a house to settle down after your marriage, then a Mini fridge would do, rather than a bigger one which is meant for bigger family. Similarly, you should choose product that is suitable for you. You may be able to save budget here and spend somewhere else where it is necessary.

It is better to prepare an exhaustive list of what all you might need. It would be best if your partner joins you in doing so. Then you can curtail the lists to the one that is very important and urgent. The as per the budget you may choose to buy the rest of the articles. You can always get the articles in later stage as and when you get some money.

BP CEO comes under fire

BP CEO Tony Hayward has faced fresh criticism for taking time off to go sailing with his son instead of dealing with the Gulf of Mexico oil spill.

The White House said the move was one of a “long line of PR gaffes and mistakes” by Mr Hayward.

Environmental groups said the Isle of Wight outing was “insulting” to those affected by the environmental disaster.

BP defended Mr Hayward, saying it was his first day off since the spill began after a deadly rig blast on 20 April.

E Cigars : Better Option?

Are there any alternatives to cigarettes? It has been comprehensively proved that cigarettes are bad for health. The connection between them and cancer is clearly established. But, once somebody smokes a cigarette, he seems to become a slave for ever. So, how do you get out? What does one do?

This is where one starts looking out for alternatives. And, the E-cigarettes do seem to provide a viable alternative. The Electronic Cigarette Affiliate Programs are well known and have established a seemingly good and viable alternative to the otherwise cancer prone habit.

The trick is in ensuring that the person who is using does not go through the pangs of withdrawal called as “withdrawal symptoms”. You need to provide a similar experience but without the nicotine content so that the habit does not prove to be too bad for the health.

The electronic cigarette cartrdiges are available and they in terms of the habit, do look and feel like the old cigarette habit only.

But, these are a lot safer than the cigarettes. The electronic form of the cigarettes, have an ingenious way of making those who are smoking it feel as if they are smoking the real thing. And, all the while, your mouth feel and also the throat feel are not really compromised. They give the real feel of the cigarettes. However, where the damage is concerned, that is severely limited thanks to the lack of nicotine content in the whole thing. Also, it does not have the smoke which again is the byproduct problem of cigarettes. Since there is no smoke, the passive smoking problem is also tackled in this new solution.

Hence, the world over, the e-cigarette as it is called, is actually seen as a more safer and more viable alternative for the harmful cigarettes. There is actually a lot more research which is happening in this area.

Proper training program

Training is one of the most important activities in corporate human resources development. Especially in the recession years, if you train and keep your force ready, it really helps when the recession lifts and the economy gets into full motion and moves.

One of the first things one needs to have is a good Learning Management System in place.

Needless to say, it would be prudent to identify a dependable / reliable / cost effective Learning Management System provider to take care of your needs.

There are any number of such Learning management systems providers but only a few are real good at that. One needs to know which of these system providers to employ for training purposes.

What are the criteria for judging these LMS ?

One, it should be easy to implement. There is no point in having a system which is very difficult to implement. It should be simple to understand by all the people who are involved. It should be in simple steps so that implementation does not become a nightmare.

Two, it should be powerful. It should be able to do the job that one wants it to do. It should be able to accomplish the training goals that one started off with.

Three, it should be affordable. There is no point in having a system which is extremely costly. It should be within your means and it should be extremely affordable so that it does not pinch your pockets.

Four, the results of such a program should be measurable so that you know what it actually delivered. Unless you are able to measure what the program has delivered, you would not be able to understand the good or bad it has done for you and you would not be able to either scale up or repeat the program if you require.

So, while designing the program, you need to keep all the above four things in mind. You need to choose the affordable ones. You need to ensure that there is measurability. You also need to ensure that you have the implementation in mind also and the power of program while choosing it.
