Google is flush with funds and it wants to put it to good use. So it is on a buying spree and is looking for good quality software companies which can help it secure future growth.
Few months back it bought a mobile software provider to expand it’s dominance in the mobile internet arena, and now it is all set to buy a leading airline software provider for 700 million US dollars.
The buyout would help Google to diversify the business profile and would help it to reduce the dependence on internet advertising over a period of time.
Google has deep pockets and an excellent track record in dominating every domain it enters. So expect more fire works in the airline software sector in the coming months. There could even be some major anti-trust law suits against the company some vested interests.
