Three Google employees were handed guilty verdicts by an Italian court. This comes after a video was uploaded of a teenager suffering from Down’s Syndrome. The charges were privacy invasion.

The Google company has expressed discontent over the charges. It claims that Google cannot be responsible for the uploading of video clips over ‘open and free internet’. It also claims that Google is only a medium and cannot control users of their uploading.

They had deleted the content immediately upon request and had cooperated with the authorities on their investigation.

Google is confident that their operations are in line with European law.
