The normal age span of a orangutan is 40 years. But an orangutan turned 50 in the phoenix zoo recently. The phoenix zoo is known for hosting parties to different animals of the zoo. Duchess, the orangutan birthday was slightly different from those of other animals of the zoo. The weekend had duchees completed his half century.

The zoo people treated the orangutan with many gifts an ice cake with fruit cake. The life expectancy of orangutan is 40 years and this orangutan has survived 10 years more. The zoo welcomed the duchess when she was just two years old ,when the zoo was opened in 1962.The lady orangutan has given birth around seven times lives with her daughter and her daughter. The orangutan has a passion for paintings and cleans her pen herself by washing in a bucket of water. The orangutan has a staunch devotion towards food and has good taste sense.

All that the animals need from human beings when in captivity is limited disturbance and proper care. Let us do that sincerely for our own sake.
